We are proud to announce that they have
been appointed to restore the 1937 Cord 812 Phaeton
and the 1941 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible Sedan shown
above. The 1941 Lincoln Continental Convertible MK
1 was too badly damaged to restore. These cars were
insured by Hagarty Insurance Co. The photos above show
them as they were received at our Placerville workshop.
The cars belonged to William L. Finefrock of Auburn,
California who died in January 2004 from injuries sustained
from the fire which damaged his beloved automobiles.
Bill Finefrock was an automotive journalist, editor,
publisher and avid car collector, perhaps best known
for his association with AutoWeek. An extensive biography
and information about memorial donations (to the UC
Davis Burn Center or the National Automotive Museum)
can be found on
the Motorsport.com site.
